What I’m Loving Wednesdays

June 26, 2013 By Mercedes Hutchens 2 Comments

My friend Jessica at Covered in Glitter and Glue is starting a great new linky that I’m excited to join.

The linky is easy going, just share what you are loving.
Right now I’m feeling at peace.  I love that feeling.  Summer school is over on Friday.  I’ll have three weeks at home before attending a bunch of trainings this summer.  My husband and I have decided to finally tackle our garage and I’m actually really excited about it.  Our garage is so full that there is no room for walking.  Climbing over boxes maybe. I can’t think of a thing in that garage that I want to keep.  I’m sure there is something.  It is filled with boxes of things that I couldn’t deal with when my parents passed (in 2000 and 2006).  I’m ready for a summer of letting go and organizing.
My roll at school is changing.  Instead of having a homeroom of kids, I’ll be an Intervention Coordinator.  My favorite part of teaching is that Aha-Moment.  I love setting a goal and helping students accomplish it.  After switching from 2nd to 5th last year, I see the pros and cons of primary and upper elementary and look forward to a day filled with both.
I love this time of year.  The excitement of all that summer has to offer, that potential.
What are you loving?
