Am I the only teacher that thinks that October is the loooooongest month. Cap it off with Halloween which feels like the longest day, and I’m ready for a day off!
Maybe that is why my latest is wintery. Winter clip art is as close as I’m getting to winter break for a while but a girl can dream.
I doubt I’ll be seeing any snow this winter. It doesn’t snow where I live so the only way I’ll see it is if we decide on a road trip. In fact, I saw snow for the first time in 2nd grade. I’ll have to ask my kids today how many have seen snow. I looked at images of real snowflakes before drawing the snowflakes for the background.
I have a silly question. Have any of you ever seen a snowflake? I mean, have you seen something that looks like the snowflake that we all think of? I hope I don’t sound like an idiot. When I finally did see it snow (not just snow on the ground), I didn’t see snowflakes. I’d assume you have to have a microscope except that I think the general images of snowflakes have been around before microscopes.
Forgive this California girl. I’ve traveled, but I tend to travel to sun.
Anyway, here is my snowflake background, designed to help me forget about a long October. 🙂

Mercedes,
I have to disagree. October is my favorite month! It has the most beautiful skies here in Oklahoma than any other month of the year. They're a breathtaking shade of blue and mostly clear with the occasional wisps of pure white clouds. October also brings relief from the blazing heat of the late summer months. I enjoy this month so much, it isn't too hard to overlook the hassle of Halloween. 🙂

These are just darling! I got an app to do fonts, and would like to try to make a few clip arts here and there. do you still use the same program that you had before? I just feel like my stylus needs to be a sharper point or something. How do you color them in so well? I am having a hard time with this!
Your are doing a great job! I too like drawing and making things! 🙂
