Have you seen this video?
I’ve been singing this song for weeks. My students love it. I had no idea 5th graders could love Sesame Street so much.
The first week of school, I showed this video and we used it to lead a discussion about positive self- describing adjectives.
It turned into an art project. We listened to it again. Some of the muppets are a bit hard to understand so I showed this version:
We listed the positive adjectives in the video and then made a list of other adjectives that we could use to describe ourselves. The students then picked an adjective and used it to create an art project. You can find the instructions and a printable for free at my store.
First, the students drew their adjective in block letters. |
Then, they painted the backgrounds in bright colors. |
Then, the students used dark colors to paint in their words. |

Oh, I love this video! I had never seen it. I can't wait to show it to me classes. I can see why they love it. The message is so positive! Thanks for sharing.
