My latest Super Star Skill Packet is my Plurals Packet.
This is my biggest Language Arts Skills packet I’ve made.
I made sure to include -s, -es, -ies, and -ves.
I also wanted to include irregular plurals because that was such a challenge for my English Language Learners.
I saved this post for a Wednesday so I could share this quote with you and link up with A Turn to Learn.
Last year, I was reviewing irregular plurals with my class orally. I said, “One box, two…” and put out my hands for their response and they said, “boxes.” Then I said, “One man, two…” and put out my hand. They said, “Men.” Before I could move on, one of my girls announced loudly, “Three mens!” I stopped and asked her what she said. She smiled and said, “One man, two men, three mens!”
I love those moments where you know you can’t laugh but you are on the inside while you very seriously explain that plurals are the same as long as their are more than one. As we continued the quick oral review, I changed my words to “One ___, MANY …”
You can find my Plural Packet here.

Too funny! It's amazing when the kids take what we say so literally, like thinking that plurals only refer to two of something!
Isn't it so hard not to laugh when the say stuff like that!?!
Thanks for linking up, and congrats on your biggest packet yet! It looks so cute!
