I did the unthinkable. I left my laptop at work.
I wanted to join up with the What Did They Say Linky today because I have a great quote to share. Well, let’s see if I can blog from my iPad.
I interviewed some students to make a video from my school. I can’t count the number of times I asked myself, did they really just say that?! I have to share my favorite with you.
I asked two kinder boys what they wanted to be when they grew up. One answered quickly, “I want to be the maker of Angry Birds Star Wars.”
The second boy wasn’t sure.
The first boy suggested, “Do you want to be a Power Ranger when you grow up?”
The second boy shook his head no and said, “I know. I want to be a trash can.”
The teacher in me wanted to make sense of this. “Do you want to be a garbage man?” I asked hopefully.
He shook his head no. “Uh. Uh. I want to be…”
His friend stepped in, ” He wants to be a TRASH CAN. Just a trash can.”. He smiled at his buddy, “Right?”
The boy nodded, “Right!”

Great quote! I had a little one tell me the other day that when she grew up she wanted to be a milkshake maker! 🙂

Aw… cute. The teacher in me still wants to dig for some deep meaning behind the "trash can" statement.

Ha ha…so funny. My parents told me that I answered the same question when I was that age and I told them I wanted to be a typewriter. They still laugh to this day (I liked playing on the typewriter at Grandma's..maybe I meant secretary..lol).
