Did you have fun shopping? I sure did.
Last week, I had my students do some data analysis. They looked at a computerized progress report that shows their score for each skill and we discussed how to raise their grade. I had all my fraction task cards printed up ready for them and talked about how to use task cards to practice skills they discovered they needed.
Next thing I knew, I was getting requests for task cards from my students.
“Mrs. Hutchens, where are the task cards for multiplying decimals?”
“Where are the task cards for area?”
In my mind, I’m thinking, “You’ve got to be kidding me?!? I put up a dozen task cards, and introduced them today for the first time, and you already want more? Don’t you know how long it took me to make those?” I went from feeling like Superteacher to having a to do list a mile long in less than a minute.
Well, this Superteacher needs to give herself a break. So, I let myself buy a big bundle of task cards from Jennifer Findley.
My students are obsessed with folding paper so I thought I’d capitalize on it and get them to learn while folding. I picked up these fun cootie catchers from Runde’s Room. I’m so excited to use them.
I’m enjoying these linkies because now I have some TPT credits I’m looking to spend (which is silly because I have 39 items on my wishlist). Head over to Blog Hoppin and My Journey to 5th Grade to see what others bought.
If you still have something from my store on your wishlist, you are in luck. Mary and Pitner’s Potpourri is having another huge giveaway and you have a chance to win an item of your choice from me and many many other prizes.
Besides being a great giveaway, you have the chance to visit and follow an amazing blog full of sooooo many freebies.

That is so cute that they love task cards so much! I always think it is funny how we try to get super crazy creative with center and games and then the things they like the most are the simplest. Last year my kids loved worksheets and math packets. During daily 5 math they would all choose math writing just so they could do their math packet. Weirdest thing!
