As I make items for my classroom, I wonder about the order my topics fall in. Our school has Envision Math but then also adopted Pacent math. Hopefully, as I develop things for my classroom, they will be useful for someone else.
I saw this on Pinterest a while back and think I might give it a try. The students shoot a nerf gun at a grid and then write the coordinates. Hopefully the kids can handle it.
You can find the original blog post about it here.
We have a bit more time with Order of Operations then we will move onto Plotting a Point in quadrant 1.
As I was trying to get my mind wrapped around how to make this process simple for my students, I found myself creating a song to the tune of Hokey Pokey. I’m not a musical person, so it may not fit perfectly, but I’m able to sing it so I know they will be able to too. For my Monday Freebie I thought I would share my song as my freebie.
If you’d like the foldable and the rest of the packet, it is available at my TPT store and my TN store for $2. (On sale 20% off for Labor Day.)
