As a teacher, there are days where you can choose to either laugh or cry. I choose to laugh.
Well, sometimes, I laugh so hard I cry.
I work with an amazing group of professional educators. You take us away from campus for a TGIF or any sort of gathering and we laugh and laugh. So much of what happens in the classroom is hilarious when you take a step away from it and look at it in retrospect.
I have a little book where I write funny things kids have said. Friends that aren’t teachers often ask if I have any more funny quotes. When I get home, my husband often asks, “What’s the quote of the day?”
Well, if we have so many funny quotes from our school, I can’t imagine what else is out there. So, for the next 4 Saturdays, I’ll be hosting a Classroom Quotes Linky. Each week will host a different type of classroom quotes.
If you’d like to participate, you can find the files here. I actually made an editable powerpoint that you can use that is included in the download. I’ll leave each linky open for a month so it’s OK if you don’t post on that exact day.
If you don’t have a blog, you can still participate. Just email the picture with your quote to me and I’ll publish it. That way, you can pin your own quotes.
To get you in the spirit, I’m sharing one of each now. These are all very real.

If you are thinking that you won’t have anything to link up with, just start listening with a new perspective. I’m sure that all kinds of hilarious things are said in your classroom. We’re just so much in serious teacher mode that we don’t often notice how funny they are. Of course, the challenge when you start to notice is to remain the very serious teacher who doesn’t laugh until after school.
beautiful collection, every single one of them had their own blow.Superb!!!
Thanks for the effort and also thanks for sharing.
