Today I’m linking up Vegas Style for Five for Friday.
1. I’m ready.
Before a trip, I go crazy with the research. I create cheat sheets for myself so I can remember all the awesome ideas I found on the web. This time, there are about 600 people taking the same trip, so I decided to share the Tips and Tricks I found on the web as a FREEBIE on TPT.
2. Teaching and Gambling Together? I’m in!
As a teacher, we tend to take side jobs. About 8 years ago, I started working for Ace Casino Rentals. When people are having parties, fundraisers, or grad nights, they hire us to bring a play money casino to their event. I deal blackjack, poker (Texas Hold ‘Em) and Craps. This is less like a job and more like getting paid to have a blast at amazing parties. I met my husband working for Ace so we had them come to our wedding.

|It’s my wedding, and I’m on the playing side of the Craps table,
but I can’t stop teaching.
|My husband, Chris, even jumped behind a table to deal blackjack
to family and friends for a bit during our reception.
I included some blackjack and craps basics in my freebie.
3. Girl’s Trip!
My friend, Sarah, and I are traveling to Vegas together. This is my first Girl’s Trip and Sarah’s first time in Vegas. I love Sarah. She is so much fun. I can’t wait!

We got married in Sarah’s folk’s amazing back yard
(and had the casino in their decked out garage).
4. Celebrity Chefs and Yummy Food
One of the things I love to research is where to eat. Working in Napa, I’m lucky enough to have amazing restaurants all around. I remember the first time I ate at an award winning restaurant. I remember that first bite. Food was so much better than I ever thought it could be. When I travel, I love to read all the reviews and pick fun places to eat.
I love cooking and watching cooking shows. Luckily, so does Sarah. Last night we sat down and made reservations for some fun celebrity chef restaurants.
5. Bloggers are Real?!
The internet is a funny thing. It makes it so easy to communicate with people all over the world. I’ve “met” so many amazing teachers through blogs and TPT. Now, I get to meet some of those people in real life. How cool is that? Will I get to meet you?
Some of those wonderful people I’m meeting will be having a sale.
Be sure to check out the sale linky.
