My blog has been fairly quiet but my mind has been busy.
School is out in the sense that the students have gone, but my mind is not yet on vacation.
When I started this blog, I was transitioning from teaching 2nd for many years to teaching 5th. Now it is time for another transition.
Next year I will be the Intervention Coordinator. This is a new position at my school and there is a lot to wrap my brain around. It will be new to not have a class of my own students. Everyday I realize a new pro or con to that. It will definitely be new to teach 7 grade levels everyday (Kinder through 6th). The biggest change will be having ever changing groups of students. I love that data will drive my groups but I realize that long term planning is nearly impossible.
I’ve always dreamed of teaching small groups of students targeted skills. I’m excited about the opportunity. I hope you’ll continue to join me through this new transition.
How about you? Are you switching grade levels or positions?

Good luck! I am staying in 4th, but I will have a 1:1 iPad classroom, so quite a bit will change. You are going to be a mama to the entire school! You will do great.

Wow! That is a big change…you sound like you are going in with a great attitude and open mind. 😉 I am switching from 4th to 3rd, which doesn't sound big but it sure feels big! Sounds like a great opportunity…good luck. 🙂
